Hsun: What is your image about space?

Pei: I imagine that everything here can satisfy students' needs and offer good quality of lives. Activities are based on the main street. We also control the gaps between units, trying to connect these virtual spaces to make visions penetrating as well as enhancing communication.

Hsun: When it comes to communication, we also created an interesting party space in the basement and used atriums and vertical circulation to correspond to the ground floor.

Pei: Yeah! We use the surface retreat and plants to define the space for activities, and we also developed five strategies. Do you remember that?

Hsun:
1. Grid: Configuring the dwelling unit with a checkerboard strategy to correspond to the surroundings.
2. Intervention: Creating the main flow and squares.
3. Deconstruction: responding to the cut, and the units of homogeneity start to change.
4. Proliferation: The units proliferate according to the visual relationship and the density of activities, also interact with the main street.
5. Reconstruction: Designing the details of space to build a happy student community
