Tzu-Ping Lin is Professor of Department of Architecture at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), which is the leading department concerning building energy and technology in Taiwan. He was professor of Program of Landscape and Recreation in National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) during 2011-2013, and he was the head of the Department of Leisure and Recreation at National Formosa University (NFU) during 2008-2011. He received his Ph.D. in Architecture from the NCKU in 2002. From 1999 to 2001 he worked at Chang’s Architect Associate in Taichung.

In Taiwan, Professor Lin is now on the committee of Green Building Council and plays an important role in the Green Building Code (EEWH). He is the Head of the Lab of Building and Climate in NCKU, which deal with energy conservation, energy simulation, thermal comfort, human biometeorology, urban climate, sustainable design, LCA carbon footprint in the field of building science, urban planning, and landscape.

Professor Lin is also active in international collaboration and academic service. He had several collaborated projects/publications with Germany, Australia, Hungary, United States, Israel, and Portugal. He is now the Editor-in-chief of Journal of Landscape, Field Editor of International Journal of Biometeorology (SCI), and Guest Editor and Editorial board in several well-known international journals.
