Introduction
CAAD Futures is a bi-annual conference that promotes the advancement of Computer Aided Architectural Design in the service of those concerned with the quality of the built environment. The conferences are organized under the auspices of the CAAD Futures Foundation. The series of conferences started in 1985 in Delft, and has since travelled through Eindhoven(1987), Boston(1989), Zurich(1991), Pittsburgh(1993), Singapore(1995), Munich(1997), Atlanta(1999), and Eindhoven(2001).

National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) will host The Tenth International Conference of Computer Aided Architectural Design Futures. Its architectural department is the oldest architectural school in Taiwan, and is celebrating its 60 year anniversary in 2003. NCKU has 16,000 students. The department of architecture has 320 undergraduate student and 200 graduate students (Master and PhD). It has 25 full-time faculties and 20 part-time faculties, and major research fields including design theory and computation, urban design, historical preservation, construction, structure, and building physics and environmental controls.
